My org batterie was a good one it lasted 4 years and I probly could have used it one more . the first 2 years I had the bike It never had a tender on it would sit for months wen I would be out fishing This bat has had a tender on it from new and even then wen cold it wont do it . hook up my truck batterie and its no problem

do the starter mod axel..it's a big help..

Maybe latter this year or next winter we will see , I might try one of the new lith bateries if I can get one in canada or pic it up across the line wen I come down some day but I wont be ups,ing anything ever agian after the tire ripoff I have found a place in canada I could have gotten the front tire for 236$ to my door tax included

Any of you guys out there heard of ULTRABATT? Its supposedly a Lithium Ion battery as used by the WSBK teams (same tech found in the Prius and other hybrids). The word is it can hold a charge for 12 months without being run. Charges from the altenator in 5min, weighs 80% less than convention batteries of equal capacity, and has zero lag when first pressing the starter due to a higher delivery rate...oh and then there is the little matter of a 10 year guarantee!

I'm not speaking from personal knowledge mind. I simply read it on their website (have been looking for a long term solution to my ongoing battery woes).

The only ones I have found that are actuly makeing batteries are super b out of the Neatherlands and Shoria and ballistic but it looks like shoria has a direct drop in at 520 cca for about 390$ and the super b at 600 cca for 550 or more ballistic at 500 cca for about 370
