@M.J My lower back issue may be different than yours. I misaligned my L5/S1 spine years ago (1990) pulling a big man out of the pool during an emergency. It did not heal correctly and I am avoiding surgery at all cost. Then in 2001 on a helicopter jump into the water, I fractured my coccyx. If I slouch down, I have pain from the tail bone injury and if I stand long, especially slightly forward, my lower back aches like heck. So posture is of the utmost importance for me as I do ride as often as I can and a 12 hour ride is not out of the question.
I have found that the rider backrest is the best bit of kit by far for me. I do have the cruiser pegs but they end up putting pressure on my coccyx as I put my feet forward.
