Back Ache

Triumph seat with back rest. Difficult to find but they show up. Have seen just the backrest go for 450$!

I got my Triumph long-haul seat from a brother and the backrest off the net for much less. Other seats like Mustang, Corbin and so on are pricey but may be worth the cost in the long run as long as they have the rider backrest.

At our age most all of us have back pain and all have different positions that lessen the pain. I noticed my lower back pain on my 2005 Rocket after about 50 miles on trips. The pegs were further forward. On my 2014 Rocket the pegs are in line more or less with my spine sitting in an upright position. I can push down with my legs and take pressure off my back and this really helps on long rides. I can stay in the saddle much longer with the pegs in their current position. It all depends on what alleviates pain in your back. Good luck.

I found that the bars pulled back too far, causing me to be sat leant back. I think weight needs to be distributed across bars and seat to ensure not all upper body weight centers on bottom of spine.
I experimented with seat wedges and different bars to eventually get the right distribution. I also added addition pegs, but this was just to have a more aggressive position when desired.
Hope u get it sorted, I think its something that needs more attention from manufactures.

NOTE: Bars in pic are drag bars for special days. I normally have bars that are midway in height between stock and drag. Stock bars are much to high for me.
I am
6FT 90kg

And the one thing I didnt see recommended is stop and stretch. After about an hour I stop and let everything loosen up.
