Hi guys sorry to go back to the tyre story's i am having a Avon fitted and would like some comments on how they ride and wear .............
 
Great tyre. 50% more wear than Metz. I liked the grip too although a bit skittish in the wet - but no worse than Metz. Bridgestone better though , if you don't mind the higher profile.

I don't think you're riding a Touring. From my experience with both tires the Avon handles better than the Metz but doesn't last as long. From some reason just the opposite result from the 240 tire.

mounted avon front and back after metzeler wore out

better tires front avon is quicker responding to input rear feel well planted last a bit longer than metz.. ride feel closer to the saddle in sensation . overall better will try the brigestone next time

Ooops. Touring forum. Never mind. Avon still better than Metz.

I got 13k+ out of my Avon rear until it blew out due to 2up and hard acceleration near the end of its life.. front is still going but it is close to the end of its time now.

I would fit Avon Cobras again but I would be more careful towards the lifes end

Gone to BS now, rear is great, BS front shortly..
 
Much prefer Avons over Metz but I got 4k miles out of my rear that's what pushed me over to d/s.

Dennsell, I dont know how you got that mileage out of the rear!

Tis true I recorded the Odo on the reciept and checked at replacement.
Just rechecked 12,384 kms appoligies for slight 617 km exageration...miscalc.

Front Avon still running at 17,583kms at todays date..

I chech tyre pressures weekly F38psi R41psi and most riding is 2up and I think thats why I got a good mileage because I behave myself when Saori is with me because she is precious...

When I am Riding alone the Devil makes me do Un-thinkable things mate..and forces me to Grin un-controllably

At your age mate. You should maybe go for a ride instead.
