2015 Triumph Rocket III Touring
Read a bunch of reviews on the forum and purchased Avon Cobra's from Dennis Kirk.

Front tire - Cobra AV71 150/80VR-16 Blackwall Tire - $149.88 each
Rear tire - Cobra AV72 180/70R-16 Blackwall Tire - $166.88 each

Add $5 for each tire for shipping via UPS Ground. Ordered Monday afternoon and they arrived on Wednesday.

Looked all over the web and checked including a couple of local shops and this is the best deal going.

Look forward to riding the bike next week. I got 8,000 miles out of the stock Metzeler's and the rear is starting to show the cords. I have had good luck with Metzeler on the Triumph America but I will never put these on the R3T again.

just ordered another bridgestone for the rear myself @1olbull hang tight pics in 2 weeks i hope on the present getting it wrapped with some flames first

Boy, that is a good price for the tyres, in Australia you don't get much change out of $1000 by the time you get fitted.
Avon is trying VERY hard in the USA to regain a foothold.

Here in Spain (for reasons that seem a bit odd) NOBODY wants to stock them currently.
Basically all the tyre places have said the same - delivery and response are seriously poor. Yet 4 years ago Avon were rated highly.
Has a bit of a "death throes" vibe tbh.

I replaced the stock Metzelers with Bridgestone and then Avon's on my former Thunderbird. The best ride and handling for my tastes were the Avon's. I traded her in for my R3T before I wore the Avon's out so I don't know how long they would have lasted. I've since replaced the stock R3T tires with Avon's and again I have more confidence in the handling. I'll have to see how long they last; but honestly, for me that is a secondary concern. I'm actually looking forward to wearing out the tires on my new V-Rod so I can put Avon's on...Heh! Enjoy :)

I've been using Avon Cobras since I bought my R3T with 6500 miles on it. It now has more than 65,000 miles on it!
I love the handling of the Cobras and won't use anything else.
I get around 12,000 miles on the front and around 7,000 to 8,000 miles on the rear!
The tread on the rears don't wear out, they cup from how I ride "The Torque Monster" (as my buddies call it! ) :D

P.S. Been using Dynabeads for 11 years. No better way to get a balanced tire!

All the "things" that had to come off the bike just to get the wheels off for new tires smh! My front was cupping and my rear down to the wear indicators, 8500 miles. The wheels are in the shop now getting fitted with Avon Cobras.

I've put about 1000 miles on mine even though my rear is a 240 stick in the curves well. I guess early models had a fat ???.:)
