Scale model arrived in the post today ... they are for sale on E-Bay for $30 each. Tiny little die-cast and plastic model Rocket 3 (a red one ) ... sure someone will want it.

I wonder why the ones that I seen on ebay were so expensive, unless somebody go the hands on scale model die cast models with extensive detail, either that or someone was a *****head.

Triumph Australia has sent us a really flash certificate for the leather jacket .. only problem is they have made it out to ' The Starlight Foundation ' will be rectified !!!

Different ones mate made by mini champs best of the best they are around $160 then u get the cheaper ones even so still look good up in the shed.

Hanso has a couple. One cost a lot and one, not so much. The detail on both is pretty good but the expensive one has moving parts that make it pretty cool and worth the extra (if that's what you want). My big peeve with these is that they almost always have grey motors and I saw one with a half sized radiator. And no, that doesn't look better.

My wife & I will be coming up on Friday and have booked into the Happy Wander park.

If you e-mail bank details we can throw some coin in for the BBQ etc.

I have sorted a couple of things and SBR will donate,

A signed door from Lee Holdsworth car (Perth race meeting)

Front disc rotor signed by our drivers………..Shane Van Gisbergen, Lee Holdsworth & Tim Slade

From SP Tools a socket set.

I will bring it all up with me and If need be I can arrange freight from Brisbane the following week.

Looking forward to meeting you,

Regards, Les

Les sent me a picture to my phone of the socket set, valued around $200, I sent to the captains of whom I have their phone number. Might be a smart phone but I can't get the bastard to download to my computer.

Metzler Tyres Australia just told me they won't be donating to our auction. This is after a verbal promise weeks ago. Since then i would have made 30+ phone calls to them to get a written confirmation. I have got .. i've been sick , the boss has been sick , our phone system has been down , we've been having troubles with our computers , we have just had a tragic death , the managers been overseas , the managers interstate and so many other excuses i can't even remember them now.

I let them know in no uncertain terms that next time i'm up for a new tyre it sure as shiit ain't going to be a Metzler i'll be putting on there.

Should tell them to have a look on here and see how many fans they have. And that there'll be fewer now. Maybe they have been looking and were worried it would go for $50 - that's about as high as I'd have bid for one.
