Are there still no quick release sissy bars out there?

A friend loves his Paladin quick release on his VTX. I've searched around and I'm not finding anything similar for my '06 R3.

While the Corbin dual touring seat with the removable back rest looks very nice, it's still not quick release.

I'd like to have my one-up seat and then put on a passenger seat and sissy bar/backrest if I'm taking someone for a ride.

But the Corbin looks like once it's mounted, it pretty well stays put. I'd like to be able to go back and forth without an hour of work.

Any other options out there that I'm missing?

fyi on the corbin. you pop the seat and there is only 1 set screw to pull and the backrest is pulled out. takes 2 mins. it really does take longer to remove the quick release rest off my raider.

the other option is leaving the set screw out. lost one on my old bike cause i didn't locktite it. backrest stayed in fine but i could pull it whenever i wanted.

That helps a bit with the Corbin. The lack of other responses is not encouraging regarding a quick release.

Regarding the Corbin seat, though. What does it take to get that bracket off to back to the original one-up seat.

What I really want are two configurations:
One up - simple saddle. Show the fender.
Two up - second seat and back rest. So both need to come off easily. Or swap the single for the dual touring and the back rest.

The pictures for the Corbin show that extra bracket to help support the seat pan. I am curious how easily that comes off to go back to the original single seat.

Does that make sense?

My corbin doesn't have any backrest and it comes off just as easily as the single solo seat, but some with the backrest have additional brackets that require drilling into the fender. I think Corbin goes either way depending on the model. Just as a thought, that big comfy Daylong seat with dual backrests would be something nice if it comes on and off as easily as my Corbin, you might check into those and see how they mount.
Your idea of just swapping out seats sounds like a good one.

I did get my flyscreen installed last night though

Next up is some answer for a passenger seat/backrest. I might need to ebay something to come up with the cash.

I chatted with Corbin

There is a bracket to support the seat pan and that will need to be taken off to put the solo seat back on, but they assure me it isn't difficult and would be quick. Less than 10 minutes to switch seats. That's pretty close to ideal.

So, at this point, I'm thinking of saving my pennies for the Corbin with a large oval back rest. When 2-up my passenger will have a nice ride. If I want to go solo with my original seat, it's just a 10 minute change.

After all this... I'll probably end up liking the Corbin and not bothering to switch back. haha. I can easily see myself doing that. But it's nice knowing I'd have the option. I'm all about options!

I hope this exercise helps someone else asking the same questions. When I get the seat (I think I've passed 'if' at this point) I'll post up my impressions.
