Are my eyes deceiving me?

I have never seen a R3 win a race with bends in the track. Does anyone race them on tracks that are longer than 1/4 mile and have corners?

That's great news, Hans, but we're all dying to know what your shrink has to say about all your other "stuff" you're suppressing?
What ever do you mean, I don't need a shrink to tell me I a nutter. ....... I openly admit it and the sooner some of you other guys admit it the Sooner we can a agree on some things, let's face it why would anybody in their right mind want to ride a over powered, overweight, under suspended and ugly as sin (until you learn to appreciate its inner beauty) bike mmmmmm

I say that because so many others use the argument of what race bikes use. My point is that it is an irrelevant argument, which you seem to agree with.

As far as the tyres on the Camaro go, that was one of the reasons that I didn't get a higher performance model. They have low profile summer tyres, and I didn't want to have another set of rims and tyres for winter, along with a less comfortable ride for the rest of the year.

They ride fine, but we don't have a real winter to speak of, so the low profile one's aren't an issue, and there's a bunch of 'em on cars down here.

They're on both of our cars:

All that said; no way I'm putting a car tire on my Rocket!

Well, I don't know that you'd call it legitimate racing, but we kick all kinds of full liter sportsbike asses on the backroads and twisties of NJ and PA all the time. On open, straight roads it's another story, but confined as they are by the nature of these backroads and the huge differences between their powerbands and ours, we more often than not leave the hotshots whining and crying.

Does your wife always speak of you in this fashion???

@idk67
I think the rationale for the race bike tire is regarding their overall design and not their rubber compounds or tread patterns. There is just NO WAY a car tire can handle the lateral forces generated in a turn while leaning especially when considering they are not even designed to lean.

@dave64 was on point when he succinctly summed up the beef many of us have with some darksiders when he wrote:

". . . so if your happy using them good on you, but please don't tell newbies they are safer and better."

Me thinks the prevailing darkside truth is comprised of three undeniable facts.
1) Car tires are way cheaper than motorcycle tires.
2) Car tires also last way more miles than a motorcycle tire.
3) Darksiders want to cut costs by the use of a car tire.

There is only one untruth.
1) A car tire on a motorcycle can perform better in any fashion.
