Anyone try Wrist Relievers?

Anyone have experience with these? I'm looking to take some stress of my throttle hand.

Daryl:

First off, it seems odd that I'm addressing you with my name but I guess there is room for two.........

My mom wanted a girl. I was supposed to be Darlamarlene. If I was, I'd be rich. Empires have fallen for that you know what.:D

I presume that your bar ends are the same as the normal Rocket. If so, do the Flipmeisters 50 cent throttle lock mod. I have pictures of it in my photo album plus there is a thread on this site with the how-to-do-it instructions. What will happen is it negates the spring pressure to the degree you desire...it makes the twistgrip neutral. An added bonus is you can instantly return the throttle to the idle stop by twisting the bar end weight slightly. It costs 50 cents and about an hour of your time and it's invisible.

I just did it to my Kawasaki KLR which has a double spring push-pull throttle that's a wrist buster. Basically any bike with bar end weights can be done.

I have one but didn't like it around town, so I sawed part of it off to where my hand could fit on the grip around town and still use the palm portion on the Hwy.

I have one also and really miss it when I forget to take it on longer trips (... remember for ES.. remember for ES...) lol It can get in the way around town, but I ususally take it off once i get to my destination. I better look for it when I get home for ES.. :)

I need to look around my house. After reading some of these posts ("pain around town" and "it's hard to get used to"), my memory is starting to tell me I *may* have had one of these at one time. I remember a buddy giving me some similar gadget. Seems like I remember it being a pain in the rear to get adjusted to a comfortable position.

I may check out Flip's suggestion or possibly get the "wrist reliever", but only use it on the highway as suggested. What the hell makes the Rocket throttle so stiff to begin with?

i have one and liked it for long trips, though trying to adjust it and find the sweet spot is hard on the grip cust its twisting the rubber on the grip and iv had mine rinkle up and have to work it a bit not sure if it did any damage.

I use one (cramp buster) and it takes getting use to expecially around town were you work the throttle a lot but like it.

Paul,

What size did you get. I tried measuring my grips and I *think* they're just over 1 3/8", but it's hard to measure a round object. I'm guessing I need to order the larger one?

Thanks,
