Any special tools required

Yep the two sockets for the engine mounts the cam timing alignment jig, along with the tools to remove the Flywheel from the crankshaft so you can split the case. Its a hook spanner and special Puller you will also need this to install. You can split the engine without disturbing the timing if you do not want to change the cam chain guide. Personally I would do it all at once since you will have it mostly tor down anyway.

Thank you guys! I'm convinced to just go ahead and do it all :)
Any idea on the tool part numbers? I've searched world of triumph and no luck? The jig, hook spanner and puller sound mandatory! What is special about the swingarm sockets? I'm just wondering if my buddy might already have something? I don't mind buying everything, but don't know how to make sure I get the right tools?

the swingarm socket is a castellated part 17 . 100065372-1-2.jpg

There have been a few Ruzzle for one who has taken a socket and ground it to fit the castle lock nuts on the engine mounts. If you want you can take them off with a brass drift. You use the drift to jar them loose without damaging them. (because the brass is soft) Then you have one to use as a guide when making the socket.

You are right about the fly wheel removal tools the hook spanner is needed to hold the crank from rotating when you tighten up the flywheel removal stud.
As for the cam jig it is Part number T3880202 and is about 150 bucks or so depending on the dealer. To bad your not in the states as I bet you would find the tools easy to borrow and ship via USPS I know Ian loaned me the socket and the flywheel tools and I have the cam timing jig which is needed if your going to change the crank gear and cam chain guides.
Some or all of these tools you might be able to borrow from a dealer if you get along with yours.

How long until your back in the states?

Won't be back in the states until August, but we (us mil) have us postal service here; same as shipping to the states. Actually cheaper with flat rate boxes to an APO sometimes.
I'd be more than happy to pay for the shipping and a rental fee (and/or deposit) if anybody has them. :)
Any idea on part numbers for the sockets or spanner?
I'll see if one of my friends can talk to a triumph dealership here too, thought I don't know of any that are closer than 1.5 hrs away.

The page is in the manual. World of Triumph lists all special tools. Cam Timing jig cost around 50 euro. When removing the engine from my friends bike we made the special sockets. It took us some time to do this but it worked.

Cool, I'll look for part numbers in the service manual. I tried the search function on world of triumph, but nothing came up.
Definitely appreciate the help guys!

Dayum! Those are some expensive tools for a one time use!
If I understand correctly I need items 14-18 in the attached picture?
Can someone confirm that?
