Just checking to see if there are any belly pans ready from you ingenious designers out there. Getting ready to hit the newR3 site. Soon to be too cold to paint outside.

Thanks

There is, sort of. I've made the 'plug' for the female mold for a 'belly pan' chin spoiler to be made in hand laid fiberglass but my fiberglass person broke his leg in a motorcycle accident and is basically immobile.

The Flipmeisters Chin spoiler will be quick detach with stainless hardware and will cover the oil filter and water pump and the gel coat (black or white) price will be around 150 dollars USD. Painted to match in British Standox and hand pinstriped (by me, yes, I pinstripe in paint) should be around 200 dollars USD.

If you have a bit of patience, it will come to fruitrition and be made in the United States unlike the competition which is made in Japan and who knows where respectively.

Soon as my 'glass person is able, we'll be getting on with the product.

And here I thought only Gold Wings had belly pans (Tulsa).

QUICK Detach and Fiberglass!

:cool:I'm calm now and praying for a sound recovery for your friend.

Come on guys, pack your money away and wait for a quality piece of Americana.

Do they come painted in Petty blue? with flames? lol..

I will definitely be in line for one.. I hate cleaning out that cavity around the oil filter.. Why would they put that there in the first place?

Without getting accused of plagerizing someone else's design, I bought two versions of FRP chin spoilers, one from Custom Chrome (a universal mount but for a down tube type frame) and one of the Motoplan FRP Rocket specific units (we won't discuss price on that one except to say that Motoplan's chin spoiler is a sizeable chunk of change.

Mine will be similar to the Motoplan FRP/Dry Carbon chin spoiler but with a different mount design. The MP unit has exposed hardware mine will have captive inserts moulded into a double wall that the mount will attach to so there will be no exposed hardware and thus a clean unobstructed silohutte. I'm going to try to incorporate 1/2 turn quick release attachment fasteners with wire tops so it will be a toolless removal. The stainless (you know me, I love stainless, especially 303) mountings will stay attached to the lower foot peg rail boss's on both sides and the front of the sump plate with just the spoiler coming off for maintenance and filter changes.

Should look really tits with my radiator insert.......:D

Kevin, the glass guy has a compound fracture and road rash, well, the road rash has healed but his compound fracture is really limiting his mobility. That's what happens when a 50 year old tries to wheelie a Raptor and hits a curb.

I really wanted to get this finalized this summer but Kevin had to go and bust his ass.

Soon, hopefully.

Flip I'm very interested as well. Been thinking of putting a mudflap on the front but can't bring myself to do it. It wont interfere with a motorcycle jack will it ??
