(Almost) No One Steals Triumphs

I pay $19.25 dollars a month for full coverage. When I turn 59 here in a few days will be paying $15.25 a month. Pay $15.25 on the Harley now and in a few days will drop to $12.50 a month. No tickets in the last 20 years or claims. They do not care what kind of tire I have.

I don't think these stats are normalized regarding brand sales in the US.
8,674 to 9,052 Honda thefts is surprisingly a lot more that 4,416 to 4,953 Harley thefts; however, How many of each brand and are out there being ridden how many miles in the US?
BTW - SUX to have a BWM!
 
Who do you have insurance with
 
State Farm. They cover everything. House, farm and Vehicles. They even cover the fancy fiat. #ell got the tractor insured with them too.
 
Progressive:
$648 annually
$200 deductibles for comp and collision
$15,000 in accessory coverage
$2,000 in baggage coverage (includes helmet/gloves/etc sitting on the bike)

I find that pretty reasonable, however, I also claim a number of discounts so for most it would probably be closer to $900/year for the same coverage.

EDIT: Oh, and I leave my bike parked where ever I chose, no one's ever messed with it, or the easily pilfer-able items on it. Instead, they just back into it, because, you know, the R3 is a small bike and easy to miss siting there
 

Progressive must not care how many bikes you have, I pay about the same for 6 bikes.

Was it not much cheaper with a higher deductible? That seems pretty low.

I've always gone with the highest deductible, usually $1,000. The money I've saved over the years would easily pay the higher deductible if I ever make a claim. And I'd only ever make a claim for a big loss anyways, since it would raise my premium. For instance, even if I had a $200 deductible, I'd never make a $500 claim, since I'd likely eat it on increased premiums because of the claim.
 
The deductible is a small change until you get below $200, the $100 deductible is heinously expensive.

The $200 deductible means I'll be out less from pocket when I need it, right after an incident like an asshat backing into my bike.

If I save $10/month going with a $500 and have no incidents for 50 months (not unreasonable to expect), I still wont have the $500 when I need it, I'll have bought a couple of starbucks without noticing any change.

I don't structure my spending around a strict budget, I budget bills, save some, and flagrantly spend the disposable. Bad life habit to some, I call it enjoying the fruits of my labor, money doesn't make me happy sitting in an account.
 

I know that if ever my roadster was lifted in a van the silent alarm bug connected to GPS will ping on the computer of the operator and if the operator is quick you can have the cops at the destination nearly same time as the van. I would love to be present then, better yet wait for the driver to exit the van and ask him
with all your buddies around carrying garden tools to explain why you should not beat the snot out of him!!unfortunately the operator does not advise you live.
 
I just insured the Explorer for agreed value of $14,500 no hassles, Shannon is the only Insurer for me as they are the only ones that allow performance mods but you must list them, I have only ever had great interactions with them
