(Almost) No One Steals Triumphs

Life just isn't fair ! @IMFASTTOO Art, you run with fast crowds, and folks like that eventually get caught speeding.

Hope you are recovered now -- justice was done -- and you are stronger for the story.

You and I have never seen eye to eye, but what they did was wrong. I make a habit out of helping folks and at times have been burned in return. Then again at other times found that my help and faith in Mankind has payed off and was very much appreciated. At times have been what you might call a bit anti-social so with that if you need some help PM me BRO.

Hope I get to meet you next weekend in Tulsa at Lupe house

THEY were supposed to be friends that Ive known for 15 years that I rode and raced with and I understand that they had been doing a lot of drugs and drinking but thats not an excuse I hadnt been feeling well and was in and out of hospitals so it seems they thought the could rob me and I wouldnt be around to prosecute them thats the only thing we can figure out as dumb as it sounds I always tuned and repaired their bikes for free for years so it was a real shock when they stole the bike

That is just crazy crap Art. Hard to think someone who has been a "friend" for so long could do something like that. Drugs and alcohol do make folks do some really stupid stuff.

Good thing I'm a cake and milk kind of guy.

Not mentioned in the top fifteen marque motorcycle makers, maybe because they are not in the top 15 motorbike manufacturers

But the real reason that Triumph didn't make that Top 15 list is that any intelligent thief knows that if you jack a Triumph, the odds are pretty high that its owner will track you down to the ends of the Earth and beat the ever-loving squat out of the perpetrator, unlike all those H-D and Beemer poseurs, et al, who can generally only dress the part of being tough guys.

Vengeance is best served cold with minimal outside involvement if two people are involved in the delivery it is not a secret, the type of low life who perpetrates act like this are usually looking over their shoulder all the time ,and when a bolt from the blue occurs they wont know where to start looking for who it came from :whitstling::whitstling::whitstling:

Just found the most recent statistics on motorcycle thefts in the US. Triumph isn't listed in the top 15 marques - even behind a couple of Chinese scooter brands!

Total thefts, unfortunately, are trending upward - :(

I never take the key out of the ignition of my R3T. Leave it out side at work all day. But then I work out of town at an oil refinery. So this bad habbit I have is not good when I go to the city. A couple of years ago I drove to stirgus, and most of the time I forgot to take the key out. I don't think anyone even touched it.

THE WORST PART about it all is that I thought these guys were friends that Ive known for 17 years they lured me into the trap by offering to store my bike while I was waiting to move into a new house and settlement was months away DAVE PITTS even drove me to CARPENTERS to pick up the bike and I drove the bike to CHRIS SOFIAS house to park it in his garage and I was helping him work on his race bike for free of course as I had tuned all his bikes since 1999 and also stored his vehicals at my old property that had 2 large storage garages totaling 10,000 square ft all for free mind you and we went riding several times and returned my back to his garage I wasnt feeling well and had to visit several hospitals for therapy as the weather turned cold and riding season was over then suddenly both of them stopped communicating and wouldnt answer calls and texts and wouldnt return any calls or texts that went on for weeks and I drove to CHRIS SOFIAS house 5 times and he wouldnt answer the door I then called the Police and they said he was probably sick so keep trying then I went to the British Bike day at WASHINGTONS CROSSING and saw both of them when I drove in the parking lot when they saw me they quickly left by the time I parked then I realised they were up to NO GOOD so moday I called the Police again and they said to go to his house 1 more time which I did and caught CHRIS cutting his grass when he saw me pulling up he ran for his house but I cut him off and he was in a state of panic and was refusing to talk to me I quicly called the police and they said they would be right over and then Chris demanded I leave his property and started threatening me with a sledge hammer swinging it and hitting me with glancing blows that I was blocking to protect myself he thwn ran into the house saying he was getting his gun and if I dont leave he would blow my f----kin head off for calling the cops I refused to leave and ashe returned with the gun and his wife the police pulled up and I ran down the drive and told the officer what happened he then told me to wait by my car and he would take car of this ******* he then confronted him and 5 minutes later he told me he admitted having my bike hidden after the officer said he was going to cuff him and arrest him so he had to return my bike to me the following day and I would pick it up with a police escort at 4pm and I returned with the police and the bike had been vandalized resulting in engine damage and had to be trailered to CARPENTERS for repairs WOW what a ridiculas upsetting expierence Im still in shock over this even though the bike is insured and fully covered SO MUCH FOR GOOD FRIENDS that take advantage when your sick WOW
