(Almost) No One Steals Triumphs

I don't remember ever taking the key out of the ignition on mine since I bought it. I always leave my helmet and gloves on the bike, gloves cover the fact that the key is in it, I suppose, I guess a lot depends on where you live. I am never in cities.

I left my bike unattended for 2.5 hours at a Shopping center car park yesterday while i watched a movie , 1st time in the 3 years ive ever taken that risk , had a disk lock on and the Alrm was armed , but i spent the whole time hoping it was there when i got back , especially seeing as i dont have insurance due to riding DS
Shannons will cover your bike with DS they just paid @HansO out for his crash and he was on DS. I have just last week changed to Shannons with a very good agreed value at $23,000 AUD.

I thought that was only because he had it insured with them from new. I have no DS and mine is insured with Shannons too along with 1 car on full comprehensive and another 3rd party property only and when I got my 2010 R3R insured comprehensively with them as well they said I was limited to a maximum $10,000 cover on my own damages/value and only if it was not a daily driven vehicle but just a couple of times a week! I told them I paid $9000 and it had many accessories and I would add more but agreed to the max $10,000 only as they said that was the maximum they could do.:(:banghead:
Time to give them another call I think and pre-heat the poker iron first.

WOW OK. Same bike Youi insured for $15,000 at $30 month while Shannons is about $55 month, But I had to describe ALL of my Mods and the lovely lady that took my call said 23k was ok but she used her own discretion as it was above the parameters given to her by the system. Good Chick I reckon. Give it a go although I have more engine mods than you do. I have cover for 100 days use a year but they cannot check you on this.
I spoke to Kirsty a Queenslander;) she owns a Blown VL Commodore with a 355 stroker and her husband has one too.

100 days? In the US, you can get coverage that lets you ride all year....they know you'll lay it up in the winter time, but also know there might be some winter days where you can ride, so they price the policy to cover that fact. My company will give that policy automatically unless you WANT more limited cover to save a few dollars. Have a claim on Christmas Day, with that limited cover....they might balk at paying.

I remember the old 6 month policies, but my company never offered or mentioned anything but year round, and I live in Buffalo, NY, LOL. Only the winter of 2014/2015 was so bad that I didn't get any winter rides.

Its just a way to determine that this is not my daily drive as I have many other vehicles I can and do use and I also work from home.
