After buying the '06 and syncing the throttle bodies, replaced the ignition switch, fixing two oil leaks, adding a Ram Air, found a good tune, replacing the TPS, gutting and adding new baffles to the mufflers, LED lighting, replacing the aged saddlebags, new battery with double cables, rebuilding the starter solenoid, flush and fill coolant, adding a windshield air vent, new tires front and back, new spark plugs and different handlebars I can say the bike is in tip top condition. Wheeew.

Sometimes a low mile, low price isn't such a bargain.

That's true, I'm not complaining I do enjoy working on them.

Sounds like you've done everything but change the binary fluid in the interossiter. Some have done it without removing the engine from the frame but I wouldn't recommend it!

If you are replacing the original RIII leather bags because they are sagging then you may want to think about putting inserts in to make them retain and keep their shape. Good leather dressing will also restore the look and water resistance. Flipmeisters Specialty Products is possibly the best place for such things.

@vindex1963 It is nice to make it your own. Remember to refresh the brake fluid with a nice flush. Up-grade to DOT 4 while you are at it. Front fork oil could stand to be changed too.

Progressive 444 shocks back and Progressive fork kit in the front thanks to the former owner. He rode a little and spent a lot.

Brake flush is on the list.
