A Slight Problem

SO your running an underinflated Car tire on the rear I experienced handling problems when running a car tire on my BST CF WHEEL that ceased when I replaced it with the MC tire
 
An easy way to check the tire without removing it, is to pump it up to about 44-45 psi. If the wobble is gone, it is just air pressure and not balancing. My Excedra Maxes run better at the higher psi and wear better too, maybe your Avon as well.

I have to say thank you very much for input.Was a bit nervous about adding that much air to the Avon but I'll be **** it worked. 43 PSI front and 29 PSI back tire no wobble even at 130 mph. Uneasy feeling riding around city streets gone disappeared. Now for highway riding it is a dream. Smooth and very comfortable. Thanks guys. For everyone else except Imfasttoo thank you for your inputs really appreciated the help. I have always run my bike tires a little below the max PSI to allow for the gain PSI of a warmed up tire. Much like what 1olbull was talking about, but you have to take into account that the Max PSI marked on a tire is a cold check. The tire manufactures are fully aware that the PSI increase with a warm tire. Going one pound over Max PSI I do not believe is going to become much of a issue. I have Avon front and rear and run them both at 42 psi . Bike is stable and wear is even !
 
Now for the final test. Heavy rain predicted for tonight. Never thought I would look forward to riding in the rain but am interested in how well the bike will handle. We shall soon find out.

Mmmmmm......... Think I'd drop that front tire pressure a tad when riding in the rain if your doing any cornering. Juss sayun
 
Jus be careful going out on fresh wet after a period of dry hot weather, the roads will be like glass . Let it soak and then give it beans tomorrow my friend . Whatever , stay safe !
 
Made it home. Tires handle great in a major downpour. Was really surprised on how well the back tire handled the road. Very good traction and no spin on take offs from stop signs and lights (all three of them) 120 miles round trip and good to go. Next challenge will be in the cold weather. It will be interesting to see.
 
Just a note for those that run their fronts low I found uneven wear and saw 6 psi increase as front tyre warmed .... This is the first sign you are running too low a psi if you do the research you will find that a correctly inflated tyre will only increase 2psi hence I experimented and found the magic number for me was 42in the front when I mentioned this to the dealers Mechannic he agreed as he had similar experiences when working with race bikes ( sadly he as moved to another dealer) race bikes actually run lower pressures to speed up the heating process but do so so they will only come up to the correct psi once heated this is race bike running street tyre in super stock classes as they are not permitted to use tyre warmers
it even works for car tyres, we under inflate them so as to have the sidewalks work as they are meant to on a car which weighs a hell of lot more yes you need the extra psi, this is why I suggest to new darksiders to start at 32 and drop it if it feel a bit stiff and if it feels a bit mushy to increase it and it also depends on the riders weight as well when you find the correct pressure you will also find there is only a 2psi variation
