I got the opportunity to pick up a lightly used Corbin seat for my R3R, and put it on the Rocket yesterday.

I did a quick test drive yesterday afternoon, and, although it feels very "hard" compared to the stock seat, I like the way that it feels.

It seems to me that with the Corbin seat, I'm settling more "into" the bike, compared to the stock seat.

I'm hoping that the firm seat will provide comfortable support on long rides.

I know first hand that a firm bicycle seat is much more comfortable on longer bike rides than a soft seat, and hope the same carries over here.

I haven't paid for it yet; but the $150.00 US price seems like a good deal to me.

What do Y'all think?

Rick

Seems to me from the side profile that the elevated "Tongue" at the front of the seat and the very deep dish isn't going to afford you much wiggle room to alter your position on longer rides.

Having said that, I'm considering a Corbin for my R3T, as I find Triumph's Long-Haul Saddle somewhat too soft on trips over 150 miles or so.

Good luck, and let us know how you like it after a couple of thousand miles. Price is KILLER!

What I liked yesterday with the Corbin was that when I took off; I kind of slid back into the seat and stayed there.

On the softer stock seat; I found myself frequently wriggling around trying to find the "right" position.

I bought the dual tour Corbin bat the beginning of the year and absolutely love it yes it is firm but has just enough give to stop pressure area around the tail bone I can ride all day and not be constantly trying to readjust my position to get comfortable it supports your whole bottom and feels like they made it just for you, I know others who have said the same, most defiantly the best investment ($1,200) I have made on the Rocket since buying it

I've had a Corbin on my R3T for four years. Its my third Corbin and obviously I prefer Corbins. I also find a harder seat, while feeling uncomfortable at first is much better on longer rides than a soft seat.

150 bux for a corbin that looks that new? That is one heck of a deal Rick! I think that you better give the guy his money before he changes his mind.

If that longhaul will fit a touring I call dibs.:D

Thanks for the info Y'all!

I'll be paying for the Corbin first thing Monday AM.

Typing on my phone right now as I'm up a tree out in the swamp deer hunting.

Had a doe trot right under me an hour ago. We don't shoot the does; but it was fun to watch her anyway.

Take care all,

Rick
