We just rode the R3T on a 320 mile trip. It wasn't all that long but it was the first time I've went enough miles to use the McCruise cruise control. This is the first bike I've ever ridden with an electronic cruise control and I love it. Uphill or downhill it keeps it EXACTLY at whatever speed its set for. Barely touch the front brake lever and its off, press resume and its back on exactly where it was before I touched the brake lever. Its a pleasure to ride the bike on freeways with this accessory. If anyone is considering the McCruise I would say get, you'll love it.

Im looking forward to making this my next addition. With the talk these bikes have and the small speedo dial it takes nothing to be 15ks over or under, not to mention the break it gives the right hand on a long highway ride.

I have to say I miss the cruise control my Goldwing had. Seams so simple for the factory to incorporate cruise control on todays bikes.

I have the twenty dollar special on the Boss Hoss and its been there for years. Doesn't compare at all with the electronic cruise but then again its simple, it works -- kinda, and its really an unnecessary luxury anyway, not to mention it was **** near free. I think Triumph should put it on at the factory, at least on the touring models, it would only increase the cost a few hundred bucks.

Grumpy, I got mine from OZ and had FREEDOM CYCLE the dealer here in Vegas install it. They have a meticulous mechanic there who is as fussy as me and he did a great job. Of course the problem is the shop time is around 100 dollars an hour and it took 8 hours. If you add that to the 800 dollars it cost you can see that this upgrade on the bike is also a downgrade on the bank account. Finally the sting of the money becomes nothing more than an old memory and the pleasure of riding with this over the top accessary just gets better and better you start to wonder why all bikes don't have this as standard. The instructions that came with the unit were the best I've ever seen with almost every paragraph having a clear picture to go with it. I'm sure that I could have done the install myself if I had to.
