I know I have seen it here somewhere but when I do a search nothing comes up.
What are the items the dealer is supposed to do at the 500 mile checkup?
I know an oil change is one.

I will try to find that list and pm it to you. Basically they go over the bike and check everything. Adjustments, seals, etc. It took about an hour for them to do mine.

The main thing besides making sure nothing is falling off or leaking is to replace the break-in oil with synthetic.

An oil change with a check list.

500 mile list

Thanks Nolton & Hellfire,
I found the list, its in the Triumph handbook, for some reason I thought I had seen it
in this forum and did not bother to check the handbook.
I guess my wife is right when she calls me a forgetful old fart.
And it looks like its check everything and do the oil change to synthetic.
I can do everything myself no problem except for one thing, it says" Engine ECM check for stored DTCs"
What does that mean?
If the bike is running good now can I skip that check?

Diagnostic Trouble Codes. If it's running fine and the check engine light has never come on, you probably don't have any. You can just plug in a reader and check yourself, if you don't have one they are cheap at Harbor Freight. This day and age it's a good tool to have, will work on cars, bikes, anything with an OBDII ECM. (On-Board Diagnostics version Two, Electronic Control Module)

When I took my Roadster in at 500mi they changed the oil, filter, checked everything and "installed new tune #020352."

To use the cable and check the system is there any special softwear needed.

Is that a Triumph tune or an aftermarket tune?, did you notice any difference.

From my understanding it was a Triumph tune (020352 Rocket III Roadster Full power with catalyst). The work was done at the Triumph dealership.
