5,700 miles and I need a new rear tire

Beats the 4,800 I got out of my last Metz. And that was kms - about 2,980 miles. Avon already doing better and might even double it.

I have 7000 on my venom and I think I will get at least 10,000 out of it, considering a Michelin Pilot next or may go with the Altimax Cobra put on as many guys withh Stratoliners are running it.

Cobra, I will be ordering the exact same tire as you soon and need to know if theres any contact of the tire with the inside of the fender?
The 205/ 60 seems big?

hey Zim that was my bike and my dealer has no problem with it, the writer mis quoted made up and even used only the pictures he thought looked good never actually showed my tyre Shinko look closly at the picture of the hole bike the waggle he mentioned does not exsist except when the front starts to lift coming out of corners on a hard throttle that is what he said then he tried to tell me a rocket won't lift the front wheel ... a dickhead he based it on the bit of a ride he had and that was all he wanted to even thou I told him he would need a longer ride... he rode the bike for 13.5 klm.....UNBIAS... Bull**** He was against DS tyres and more fool me for agreeing to help with the reveiw he is a bull**** artist and have since told him so
In Short He is a Dickhead Wanker and I have canncelled my subs with the mag as a result:mad:

Sort of been biting my tongue on this one as I was also on that ride - it's my back wheel you can see next to Hanso's bike - yes, with an MT not a CT.

While not as agitated as Hanso is about the article, I am really very disappointed that it didn't provide any information that anyone would find interesting or useful. Conslusion is that DS is an option that they (the mag) wouldn't go for. Wouldn't say they actually canned it and if you were just a casual reader you wouldn't be as concerned about some of the comments as my good friend is, but anyone could see that it's not particularly accurate or insightful.

It is generally a good mag though; they just got the wrong journo to cover what should have been a really interesting topic. Guess they're just about selling mags after all.

Mac:
I rode it pretty hard for 50 miles or so this past Sunday; no sign of any rubbing anywhere. I ride solo only, weigh 215, and have shocks set at "3".
YMMV,

That's one "smooth" tread. I'm replacing the front Avon with a shinko 777 HD 150/80R16 and the rear, Goodyear Assurance Triple Tread 205/60R16. I have the same rear tire on my '01 VALK Interstate. I've tried mezt's and they just melt on the roads in Florida. I run a Dunlop on the front of the VALK. But my '08 R3Touring is much heavier of a bike.
