5,700 miles and I need a new rear tire

Have you seen the latest RoadRider Cruiser and Trike magazine?
They have 3 pages on the legal, practical, safety, warranty and moral issues surrounding the Dark Side.
And they use an R3 as the demonstation bike

Interestingly but not surprisingly,Triumph Australia have stated "that it would wipe an owners warranty if a car tyre was seen on the bike"

I dont have a dog in the fight so Im not taking sides,I may try the DS one day.

hey Zim that was my bike and my dealer has no problem with it, the writer mis quoted made up and even used only the pictures he thought looked good never actually showed my tyre Shinko look closly at the picture of the hole bike the waggle he mentioned does not exsist except when the front starts to lift coming out of corners on a hard throttle that is what he said then he tried to tell me a rocket won't lift the front wheel ... a dickhead he based it on the bit of a ride he had and that was all he wanted to even thou I told him he would need a longer ride... he rode the bike for 13.5 klm.....UNBIAS... Bull**** He was against DS tyres and more fool me for agreeing to help with the reveiw he is a bull**** artist and have since told him so
In Short He is a Dickhead Wanker and I have canncelled my subs with the mag as a result

Is that what resulted from all the help you gave them? That's cold.

I still haven't read the article but can imagine the trash someone might write with biases like that.

Whatever.

yes and I am sorry but was to embrassed to send that crap on to you guys he went as far trying to justifie his comment by comparing the handling to a touring model he had just tested, that should say it all, It was unfortuniate that "The Bear" did not write and test because I have found his tests to be very acurate not like this *****SW I have since had it bought to my attenion that he wrote an artical a couple of years ago about the Rocket and commented at "How Smooth The Belt Drive On The Rocket Was"
nought said he argued the legalites of the darkside with us when stopped at the end of the ride Little did He know that one of the riders is a former Toyota car dealer and is a Qualified RTA inspector who then quoted SW the legistation regarding the matter... that shut him up on that arugment

What a douche, sounds like he's a lazy bastard just sitting on his haunches regurgitating past writings. But he's right about one thing ... the belt drive on my R3 is very smooth.

So the dip takes it around the block and suddenly becomes an expert? ... friggin' typical.

Do they have reader contributions at the beginning like other rags do? Might be a good forum to dispute his off the cuff ramblings and ask for further, less biased, reviews.

doubt it would be worth it

Thats good to know. I was a little suspicious about the wear on the front tyre attributed to the DS.
I dont have DS,but my front tyre is wearing more or less the same as yours and has very similar mileage

Yes they do ,its cruiser@universalmagazines.com.au

Generally its one of the better magazines,it has some good road tests and is not full of tattooed buffoons and coked out trollops lounging over motorcycles.

They probably sluffed the work off to a lazy staff writer with nothing better to do. Pissed off journalists are rarely open minded.

Especially when they are HD lovers and you throw a superior bike at them.
