Duke man, that is just too cool to be allowed to do that.

Bull, is that a Carabela? And is that in Amarillo or Canyon?

Twas indeed a Carabela. A friend started importing them for sale to his MC shop and I had a sponsored ride!
Did well on it, won a couple MX series'; but, it required more than usual TLC. I believe it was called Straddleline in Elma, WA.
This motor was funner - a 400 Suzy at Puyallup Raceway.

Look at the price for 4 days racing, camping and rioting. 1982- 83- 84- 85 In 1985 some had an uncomfortable night sleep and had to pay $1.00 bail. I was living in Urbenville at the time this was the first night on the road for the QLD blokes, swung by Urbenville to meet up with us northern rivers blokes. Nothing like a big night before a 1200klm ride.

Well, 49 years ago, when I was 12, I was terrorizing the driveway and backyard of our home on one of these, an M12 Suzuki 50, my Dad's first go at a motorcycle:

These days, I'm dancing with an elegant 800 pound gorilla that has an engine nearly 50 times the size of that first machine's. The fun factor is exactly the same!

sorry to disappoint you boog but I really truly enjoyed the free shipping especially to towns with no road to the outside world like norman wells and a few other in the far north .. imagine the face of the man in blue when he would stop me as it happened many time and ask how in the world did I get the bike to town .....priceless !! I had a few answers like officer I pulled it this winter on a sled or I built it here officer one bolt at a time!! that was a long time ago it seems. I also had so much free time I started a road sign modification program in some of these place check them out carefully

Priceless!

Several guys had the Carabelas when I was racing my older Ossa in the Texas Pandhandle in the early '80s. And I saw several of them last time I was in Mexico as well.
