2nd gear glitch

Anyone have probs dragging off from a stop? '07 rocket, snick into 2nd after take off, bike drops into neutral on the power.Looks foolish freewheeling down the road
Bike wont hold 2nd unless very gental throttle.Once into 3rd, its fine & is ok dropping from 3rd down to 2nd, its just the hard on the power changing up from 1st i got probs with :?
Any ideas please?

I find that if I don't really put the foot to the gear selector sometimes 2nd pops out. So I'm careful about this. I just don't need my bike down for another extended stay with my mechanic

thx yeah gotta dump it at dealers i guess :cry: BTW, 3ngin33r, dont use the clutch for fast change ups anyway, so it isnt that. Being really positive with hte boot on the selector makes zip difference either.

For what ever its worth. I have found that if I keep the oil level on the high side my '06 r3 shifts smoother. Since it was new I learned quickly to make sure it was all the way into 1st by letting the clutch out as I held the shifter down. But by keeping the oil level on the high side I feel that the shifts are smoother and less noisey. It would be nice if Triumph concentrated more on the engine and less on modifying the Trim. After all they have nothing on "Busa" and "Owl" as far as making the r3 look like a Rocket!
