2018 Rocket 3 Roadster
Ok guys I need some help. I now have 300 miles on my new roadster and I keep getting an odd sound from the front of bike while accelerating. Doesn't matter what gear it always makes a clatter like something is loose or there are ball bearings in the motor. Happens every time I get to the 2100 rpm range, even when slowing down. Seems to go away above 2500. Has anyone else experienced this? I have read about the paint can rattle and I am not sure if this it. Dealer says every rocket he has makes the same sound.

Hmmm...not sure about that...when i'm in 5th gear and doing 2200 rpm im doing 100kph which is the legal speed here....no rattlin goin on...

Check the torque on all the bolts. It is a new bike you trust the factory to get everyone right?
Get some blue thread lock while you are at it. I found the bolts on the radiator covers will loosen.
I had a rattle driving me crazy for about 1000 miles. Found a loose muffler clamp under the bike.

That is the place I would start especially with a new bike.
Oh and make sure you use a torque wrench.

When it is making the noise put a bit weight on the clutch lever and it should go away. If it does it’s just the clutch rattling mine has done it since new as have many others.

So have you got 3 pod air filters or 'Ramair' filter?, or is it stock with covered bearclaw?
If you have altered it from stock with the pods or ramair, it will be air induction going on.....nothing to be worried about in that case....its a sound you will get to love!
P.S.....i read back a bit and see its a new bike so you probably havnt done that yet.
My bike was brand spanking when i bought it 20 months ago and has never had me concerned about 'gear' type noises.

I have tried the clutch lever and that is a no go.... Sound still there.... Yes it is stock... Gonna try and get it to another dealership this weekend and see if I can get them to ride it... I also have a bolt leaking oil right above the kickstand mount
