I sold my 2005 R3 back in September having purchased it off the showroom floor. I was on FB Marketplace and saw a 2025 R3 R with 1300 miles on it for $16K. The local dealer has a brand new one on the floor for $22.5. A couple of questions...

1. Am I correct in my understanding that they come with a 2yr warranty that stays with the VIN no matter owner changes?
2. Im 6'5" 280 and am concerned that the new R3s feel so much smaller than my '05 did. Anything I should be aware of from a riding perspective? I have sat on the new ones but haven't ridden one yet.
3. Should I be concerned at the $16k price? It have backrest like the GT, a quick shifter, and bluetooth as add ons.

That's a great price. The only way you'll know if the bike is right for you is to go ride it. I've ridden with Agfish18 and he's about your height and weight and he rides a GT with mid controls. He sat on my GT with the forwards, and he didn't like how high his knees were. It's all a matter of what you're comfy with.

Far as I know the warranty should transfer but ask your dealer to be sure.

I’m 6’3” 230lbs, down from 260 3 months ago. I have a ‘22 GT and love the forward controls position. They are pretty nimble bikes with all the weight slung low. I think they are still big enough where you won’t look like a monkey, um, “sitting“ on a football. Yes, the warranty transfers.

1this could be a gray area, probably ask your nearby dealer before making a purchase
2. i cant speak on it
3. test drive and you will know, but looks like a good deal
