2020 Rocket runs 10.5@126 stock!!!

Getting the settup right is big, balance im learning is hugh for launchin, ofcourse skill, his clutch and his throttle work is awesome, to not let that clutch fling from your hand and to be able to only apply throttle bike can handle takes experience. And gotta have the machine, the reason were here, The Rocket, she bad oh yeah

SAE. More accurate than STD. Thus the confusion on the new rockets horse power. A warm and fuzzy i do not want . An accurate Dyno is more important.

Every new bike that i have looked at goes into great detail on all the electrical gizmos attached. Then you go back and find out gas tank size and real horse power and torque and realize It ain't all that. Not worth the extra money at all. Not limited to one brand of bike. Call it marketing or appeal to a new riders. It is amazing. The few bikes i have seen that i really like am unable to ride due to being just to **** old. Been in this dilemma for well over a year. Been holding out hoping that Triumph comes out with a touring model based on the new motor. Just don't see that happening. Even the folks at Honda with the 2020 gold wing tell some tale stories. Was serous about the Yamaha Transcontinental but after reading long term reviews decided nope. Really kind of sad. Looked hard and heavy at the BMW R-18 and went and sat on one. End of story. My last four bikes have been bought brand new. Like it that way. Am not looking for a bike that is good in the twisty and you ride on the weekends. Looking for reliable transportation that will get you back and forth to work and enjoy the weekends and occasional runs.

Sad part is that before any info was really available the Triumph rep was saying it would have over 200 hp, then the first reports on the TFC claimed it would be around 185 hp, when it was about to be delivered they were down to 150 hp. It would have been easy (and the same price) to put higher lift cams, and higher compression pistons in the new R3. There are 4 bikes in it's class, and the HD is the only one it'll out run. It has the biggest engine by far, and should have been the fastest. It's a good looking bike, but way under powered for the engine size.

It’s a lot quicker than a stock RIII. That engine was even more underpowered.

Most bikers would think we are daft for calling any Rocket underpowered.

Im glad there not in the 200hp club.
