I just laugh at Boss Hoss's anyway...not that I would ever hope to surpass them on a normally aspirated Rocket (much less the Touring) but to me they are too big, I don't like their huge side cases and the crowning dislike...they have a chevy engine...put a Mustang 5.0 in there...I'd give it another look despite those ugly side cases. The side cases look like they are made to run advertisements like on a bus or something.

2010 1700 Thunderbird paint scheme on a 2012 Rocket III Touring would suit me just fine.

My dealer said the 2012 price list is already out from Triumph and that the Touring is on it. I bet it is just a Touring with some accessories on it. My dealer says he hates when Triumph does this, because then he can't sell the standard models and can't sell the accessories because they already come on the bike.

If you will notice, the weight on the three bikes are exactly the same. This is odd whereas the Touring (as we currently know it) is 50lbs heavier then the standard. Aren't weights derived from the configuration the bike is sold in? If that is the case,
that kind of kills the thought of Triumph putting fairings with audio, etc on the Touring. Are we talking a special paint job only?

I wouldn't read too much into the quoted weights. There's no way a Roadster weighs 480kgs.

Just like the HP rating ... a bit of exaggeration goes along way in advertising.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the 2010 R3T was without all the Triumph chrome stuff. My 2011 is called the Rocket Three Touring Special Addition. So what you see in 2011 will most likely be what ya see in 2012. I have heard the R3T will now have ABS without all the 2011 SE chrome stuff. My dealer said Triumph is like all other manufactures and will NOT tell their dealers what is coming.

Talked to triumph at sturgis and you got the answer right there.. ABS for 2012 but no bling bling...
