Is anyone else having trouble with there tires.I am on my third set of tires and the recall ones are shot already at about 3,000 miles only .Tires pressure is good don't know whats going on.

Try a set of Avon Cobras. I've got over 8K miles and they've still got some mileage left. That's on crappy Arizona roads, in temps well over 100 degrees, and a um, slightly over the posted speed limit.

I have had Dunlop D251 on my bike and only got 6,000 out of them the bridgestone 3,000 miles and now the recall me880 3,000 bad cupping going on now I am really thinking it is the bike .I was thinking of putting E3 dunlops they make a rear in a radial but not the front they make a bais for the front what do you think.

no problems with my recall replacements at all..perhaps your installer is not balancing those correctly...some use that "sand balancer" and that goes out of round after 2500+miles..a friend just removed His and went witrh traditional weight balance.

what tire pressure are you running?

I'm seconding Horton...

If your tires are cupping... to me that's a sure sign that you aren't keeping your tires up to pressure.

I've got over 10k on my standard and I just put on my second metz... only because it was in the shop anyway.

I got 5500 miles out of Bridgestones before they were replaced under the recall and they still had lots of tread left. I'd have seen 10k-12k out of 'em easy.

when I took off the bridgestones they were splitting on the inside and cupping All three sets of tires that I had on the bike are doing the same thing.I am running the right tires pressure as called for on the tire.

Tires are the achilles heel for the R III's if you ride somewhat aggressively. For the Tourer you have lots of choices. My thoughts on the matter come after 43700 miles on regular rockets. I will not go to another set of stock Metz's. Most folk like em, not me. With the weight and torque it produces, finding a tire that can handle the machine is an ongoing challenge. When you find some that work please free that info here. Going dark, not recommeded by me, is just one way to thwart the economic hardship.
