2005 ignition parts

Had the failure of the soldering on the ignition. Repaired by soldering once failed a second time did a re solder but looks like I fried it. Sooooo looking for a new system barrel wring etc. Tried World ofTiruumph who contacted Triumph UK who have given no date for delivery. Not even we are finding one just no date for deliver. I looked at other spares dealers all giving not in stock, eBay nothing. The ignit I’m looking for is the symbol one as matches the one I have.
2 questions
Does anyone have other sources for spares aka specialist in older Rockets ? UK based please.
if I can’t use the symbol spare white engine can I use the assembly from the later black engined Rockets, asking in case some one had done this and it worked.

i think that the roadsters have black engines,
also the roadsters have the solenoid update so should not be taking out ignition switches.
you could get a gaurd dawg system that works with a key fob.

ok i see that the heading says 2005 not a roadster.
probably need to do something with the head lights to prevent ignition from overheating.
easter beaver kit or make your own with a couple of relays.

Not quite I'm afraid, there was a recall on early Roadsters to fit the ignition bypass relay (they only included it from factory after a while of making Roadsters), so it is possible that a Roadster is out there with no such update
One can pop their VIN in on here and see

Some time ago I had a 05 R !!!. They had a problem with the ignition switches. There was (is) an American in Japan who makes and sell ( reasonable) bypass circuits. very simple to install and take care of your problem. Put it in search, plus put out the word to the old-timers.
Also while you are waiting a couple of other fixes. Disconnect your battery. Go under the bike to the starter. Disconnect and clean the lead from the battery, then spray battery terminal anti-corrosion. it will save you a battery & starter. Good idea to do the batt terminals also.
One other thing. The voltage regulators on the older bikes are placed in a spot where they can't get cooling air. They can burn up diodes w/o any warning. There should be bigger & better units now.
