Just kidding bro. Happy birthday mate. Too bad for you youngsters that life don't begin until 55 these days..... For me anyway. Retired almost a year now and working part time in a motorcycle shop. Livin' the dream.

Wow.. this thread went from "what do you think of the new GoldWing" to "anti-Jap bikes", to Japanese crimes against humanity to birthdays!..

Well, I think it's a good way for Honda to go with the GoldWing. I won't be bying one, or any other bike that costs 20K+ dollars.. but I bet it looks better in person than in the pics.. We ride what I first thought was the most hideous bike ever, but it kind of grows on ya..

I remember seeing the pic below and thinking "What in the crap are they doing?!!!" That is a Geo Metro engine in a bike. It's f'ing ugly!!! I mean really, really ugly! Why?!!!
But.. of course.. I had to go get one.. I kind of like that solid rear wheel..
 
I've never seen that pic before ... glad the factory tweaked it a little from them days.. took me over two years of demo rides and swapping bikes on rides to get to a place where i could see myself owning a Rocket ... never happened before , just went out and bought a bike . Still don't think the Rockets going to win a beauty pagent anytime soon.. said my bit about the Goldwing and the ..... that make it ... just pleased that Canberra is older than i am on the birthday swing this thread has taken.... next topic please

That and the color and the front end chrome
is about all I see that's different from the prototype...

I agree with you on the pic, that there is really but ugly but I too like the solid rear wheel.. probally easier to clean and polish.
