    ABS light on

2011 Roadster ABS light is on. I sure would appreciate any suggested directions I could look. No real brake symptoms other than the rear brake is a bit mushy / weak but I have not yet changed the fluid. Bike has 31,000 miles. Rear pads have about 4,000 miles on them and are fine. Fronts are...

    R3 sick?

Any thoughts? Bike is basically stock except for under tank air filter. I had recently changed plugs but it ran very well after for apex. 500 miles. Checked the low tension coil wires and tightened. Bike has 30,000 miles on it. Running rough, annoying vibration (feet, hands) and acceleration...

    New England Spring Launch

NEW ENGLAND -- VERMONT/NEW HAMPSHIRE/MAINE? -- SPRING LAUNCH Seems we went off topic from another post with comments from a few New Englander's saying how few other R3's we get to see in these neck of the woods. I've seen one in 3 years! Seems some interest in a "Spring Launch" ride in Vermont...

    Exedra Max-another review

After two Metzler rears I have now apx. 750 miles. Bridge Exedra Max. After a good run two up, I am very impressed. Does just about everything better, certainly easier turn ins, secure steeper lean angle and quick turn moments. For me only down side is a little bit less planted on straight away...

    Gray matter in final drive

Just finished my 10K service. All went well but, in a addition to Moly 60 the spline, we drained the final drive unit and it was totally saturated opaque light to medium gray color. Gary at Street Cycles Maine has always been great and was once again. He thought it might be condensation which...

Triumph Service Bulletin , switch bypass

Although the service tech said that the bypass was only to disable the lights while cranking, the following seems to say otherwise: Service Bulletin 421: " We have identified that the ignition switch may malfunction on the above model due to the electrical current passing through it while...

    My new seat

My new seat So if (big if) I can figure out how to post pictures, these are a few of my '05 Speedy and my R3R. New seat and pillion and backrest made in my shop. Main difference is that I took out about 1" to sit lower and sculpted the back forward maybe 2" so I now fit in it rather than on...

    Roadster & Thunderbike?

Feeling a bunch hunched over on my Roadster (I'm only 5'9") and have lowered my seat by 1" --- anyone put the 1.5" Thunderbike bars on a Roadster. Thunderbike web site says that the instrument pods may need some change to the stock bracket. Thought about the Rivco riser but I do like the...

Not sure I can find in previous threads why some prefer Hagan Nitros or Progressive 440s. Anyone have any thoughts on the difference?

    hard bag and exhaust heat?

making my own hard bags out of honeycomb carbon fiber which I will be covering in leather. As it is templeted now, they sit within 1 inch of the exhausts. Has anyone had any experience with leather that close to the exhaust? Concern I guess is to scorching the leather. Just made my new seat...

spark plug lead bad after 900 miles

I have a pinhole in the number 3 spark plug lead wire. The dealer will not send me one to put on myself, telling me that they have to do it. 60 miles each way and I would rather not drive it this way. Any better plug wires available?

OK, think I would like a fly screen for my R3R, but is their an aftermarket, maybe carbon fiber one that you would suggest? Is the sport screen just a clear fly screen? Thanks.
