Center stand for GT models from XRay

Following...
It would be nice to know if you really are able to remove the rear tire using only than centre stand? And how easy it is to use the centre stand in practise, as the bike is quite heavy? Really interested in this stand as it would help a lot in service and some parking cases.
Cannot find any videos of this yet in Youtube etc.
 
........Has anyone out there experienced a flat on the 2.5 Rocket? Did the bike fall over with the side stand deployed?......could be a costly misfortune.
I recently had a rear flat on my 3R. It did fine on the side stand while I fixed the tire in place. I plugged it and then filled it with enough air (using a portable pump) to get to a nearby service station to fill it up the rest of the way. Once home I redid the plug with an internal patch, which is much better.

On long trips I carry more tools than necessary. Locally I always have a plug kit and air pump. I've used them several times on my previous Roadster and then again on the 3R.

Just for the sake of clarity on the subject......Was the tyre fully deflated while it sat on the side stand?......and......Do you think that if the tyre went flat when it was parked on a level surface, the bike would stay upright as opposed to falling due to change in angle?

It was completely flat. I'd say it's even more stable in that situation than when inflated, as it's leaned over a bit more and the tire "molds" to the ground. No worries here I assure you. I don't think it would make any difference which surface, but it was in a gravel driveway. In fact, you can see it here...
 
I just got the XRay stand yesterday, and installed it. Installation was quite straighforward with some power required for the springs. Otherwise, very easy installation. The bike seems to be quite sturdy on the stand, and I would think it will ok for my needs. Easy enough to use, time will tell how it holds time and does it have any effect on bike behaviour or riding otherwise.

FYI: I had a Rivco center stand on my 2300 Rocket. Great for servicing. However as an aggressive rider in the twisties, I found the right leg was to far out to the right side for leaning over hard. It would scrape with sparks on the hard right handers. I even did some grinding down on the right foot and removed about a half inch or so of the corner of the foot where it scrapped. Not enough. It would have needed to be cut off and welded back on moved inward about an inch.

So is this a good option for taking one or both wheels off? In other words, will it still be stable when one wheel is removed? I'm thinking of getting a more traditional jack but taking the wheels off (for tire changes) is pretty much the only reason I would use a jack.
