First Bad News for new Rocket: oil leaks

Happens sooner than you want if the bike doesn’t stay upright...been there, done that as many others have also learned :banghead:

I have had mine for close to 3 weeks now. Have put 600 kms on it. No issues yet touch wood.

I noticed an oil drool on my r after riding home on the first 35 miles. It was on the left side on the top of the case. I freaked out but I wiped it all down in hope that it is just assembly lube. Haven't had any weather to allow riding since but Monday is saying 55° so I'm riding to work. Will let you guys know if it continues.....

P.s. it looked like it was wet around a bolt that has a brass sealing washer. Checked for tightness it was. So like I said cleaned everything and will see what happens Monday.....

Hi Art ! Long time no hear. You said at one time you might have some NOS grey cables for an early H1 Kaw ?Wondered if you ever found them ? I'd make it worth your while $$$. I tried to PM you but you must still be on the naughty list

I talked to the service writer at the dealer today and he said one of the new Rockets was leaking oil. He said he heard reports of others leaking too. Apparently there is a pin hole in the engine casting. We’ll see how they fix this one.

I’m trying to get back in time to attend the Tampa “Best of British “ event. If I make it I’ll ask the Guys from Triumph there.
Anyone else going just Incase I get held up tonight?
