I've been shopping for a roadster type rider's single seat with a vinyl pattern to match the passenger(pillion)that I have. Don't know what the pattern is called but I would describe the top vinyl panel on the pillion as having a cross-hatch pattern. My rider's seat is just plain vinyl. Although I got this like new rider's seat on eBay for only 50 bucks I see they are typically priced about $200.00......so, I imagine seats with panels that match my pillion are more costly than the plain ones. Had no luck finding a used one and if I did it would probably be more $buckaroos than I want to pay.

Anyway, I came across this seat cover made by a British company: CARBON FIBRE VINYL CUSTOM FITS TRIUMPH ROCKET 111 3 FRONT RIDER SEAT COVER | eBay

They describe the vinyl pattern as "CARBON FIBRE". The pattern looks similar to the cross-hatch pattern I'm looking for but the picture of it on eBay is rather poor. Does someone here have one of these covers? Can you post pictures of it? How does it fit?

Thanks. :)

Well, apparently no one is interested and/or no one has bought one of these covers. I've corresponded with vendor and they offered a sample of the material, so, we will see how it looks. Will, let you know. :)

for what it is worth
i bought a roadster seat i think it was stock from ebay and it had a pattern like carbon fiber.

was not long ago
i think it was about $27 including freight.:whitstling:
i had the dual seat and just thought i would see if it was more comfort. it does ride better.
now the roadster seat does not have the duct work for the air filter. do not have a prob. with it.
and u think u r cheap:roll::roll:

Wow, "me so horny....", as they say. Not sure I understand how you can get that seat to work without the duct work but I don't get lots of stuff. :)o_O:thumbsdown: Anyway, I will keep shopping and hope to score a Triumph seat with the carbon fiber pattern. Thanks!

PS I went with the separate rider's seat(ala roadster)and passenger/pillion because I thought the look was much better and as it turns out for me as it did for you I find that combo more attractive and comfortable. I found the pillion carbon fiber like new for just 50 bucks. Hope to score the rider's "carbon fiber' seat for similar price. :)

And yes the later year Roadsters had Carbon fiber vinyl pattern on Rider Solo and pillion seats from at least 2015 on and maybe earlier.

Most folks unscrew and dump or store the ducting when they install a RamAir or pod filter and remove all ducting. Some folks leave it on the seat even though it is not functional anymore.
They are on both Solo and Dual factory seats.

But if the sample they send him looks good the online eBay deal looks reasonable. They do Rider Solo, dual, pillion and sissybar backpad covers in all sorts of color combinations for R3 factory seats.
You need to staple on after removing your stock one usually but read the directions.

Update: Got the vinyl sample a week ago or so. It was difficult to tell what the overall look would be with an actual cover based on the 1.5 sq. inch sample. It was a very lightly embossed pattern similar to that found on the Triumph, "carbon fiber" vinyl side panels but not nearly as sexy to my old eyes. Besides that, their seat cover would be the same lightly embossed vinyl over the entire seat, which they recommend be stapled over the original vinyl.....plus the fact it would not match the carbon fiber pillion I have installed. To me the Triumph carbon fiber seat has a very attractive style to it with the two distinctively different and contrasting patterns on the side panels and top panel. So, I decided to continue my quest for an original carbon fiber solo seat to match my carbon fiber pillion.

Hooray, a few days ago I found both the solo rider and pillion carbon fiber seats on eBay for $195. I offered $150 and accepted the counter offer at $175.00. Now, on the spare parts shelves, I have the original touring style Classic single seat, two extra pillions, one carbon fiber, one plain, plus one plain roadster solo seat. If I keep this up you could call me Ishrub Jr. :);):D
