My calendar is blocked out tomorrow. I am going to remove the stock air feeding stuff, install a Ramair and remove the evaporative emissions stuff. I have the manual downloaded but I am sure there are little things people found out when doing these mods that can prevent some frustration.

So I am asking of those who have done these things, what all will I need to do to get it done right the first time and with a minimum of frustrations?

thanks

Wasn't too bad a job as I recollect, Bob.
I didn't remove the evo emissions stuff behind the left side cover, as plastic don't weigh much.
Does that air sensor thingo under the tank adapt into the Ramair?
If your exhaust is not stock you may require a dyno.
Call Nels Byersforf http://2wheeldynoworks.com

BTW - Our first WA Loop & Rain Forrest ride is next week, June 12 & 13.

I have had it on the dyno after putting the TORS on. After talking to @HansO he is going to be kind enough to bump my F tables up a few percent to keep it going until I can get some headers and get it on the dyno again.

just fitted my ramair kit, well worth doing.the bike seems a lot more responsive now and a lot better at low speeds thru towns, that jerkyness has gone and runs a lot smoother.
only thing i didnt use was the jubilee clips they send you,i used the oem ones off the plenum, just need to get longer screws for them.
overall im well impressed with the difference with just a small cheap mod
oh....and you have a nice compartment for spare gloves etc...where the old filter was removed from

I also just installed the Ramair, in the instructions it mentions that if you have ball end 3 and 4 mm Allen key the job will be easier... This is correct.

Cheers

Getting at the clips where the plenum connects to the rest of the ducting, the ones hidden behind the fuel line and wiring, was a pain, but it's doable. The rest is pretty straightforward.

I'm so ****ed glad I have a bike lift now and could get the bike not only straight, but up in the air. It made the process hugely more enjoyable, no more crawling around on the floor.
