Wow, just installed my GI Pro

gipro

OK boys everything is now just peachy!! I am picking the bugs from my teeth .. got all the kinks worked out

man this thing moves!!

OOPS!!

hellfire your knowledge of fixing the gipro is needed ... ..
here is what happen all wires are seemingly connected properly, the neutral light come on, the display show zero ,I hit the start button motor start no problem, I release the clutch no problem, I squeeze the clutch lever again engage first gear the display shows first gear and the engine stop running instantly . any idea? I have tried numerous times same story ever time probably something simple but what??

I knew I should have listened to my mother and stay away from this tinkering, now it is too late and I missed one great day of riding .
Don't worry, I won't say anything about leaving the kickstand down ... :p

what can you expect from a guy who rode for 30 years on basic bikes with no electronics.
wont be the last with THAT problem!!

Did that myself yesterday.
Felt like an idiot.:D

HEY, it's been a long winter ok.
About hit a curve to hot too,
well, I did hit it to hard, but made it through,
sparks just flying I'm sure.
Then came down too hard from a NICE wheelie,
I'm out of practice, what can I say.
Another week or two, we'll all be back in the groove.

On another note,
you "like" it now do you?
That GiPro is some unit huh?

honestly .. I do not know the diff, I had no baseline to compare to, so I take the word of you guys as gospel .
beside when I reached 5000 rpm in third gear I chickened out and eased the throttle off that was enough for a first time out .
I got to slowly ease myself into this new level of mojo on steroids.. .I can see wy this is addictive.

Old fart in a new gargantuan pickup pulled up to me at wallyworld this afternoon, eyes like moonshots, he sez what in hell is that engine, I sez it's the biggest production engine made, 140 cubic inch, gets me into a lotta trouble, his eyes go to bigger saucers, he sez its not an engine, it's an engine with wings :O))))

Made my day!:D:D:D

exhaust ..

I looked at a small builder site called CRM (chain reaction motorcycle ) his exhausts are very nice sounding and the man might make headers for the R3 along with those great looking mufflers if he gets enough interest. I would not mind changing theJardines for his pipes .. write to him and convince him to start building pipes for R3.

This is the response I got from Bob Floyd at Chain Reaction Moto;

Sorry. Unless it were something custom, probably not.

I think the Rocket needs a full header but that’s not a job I’d be able to take on unless it was commissioned. And I’d need a bike at my disposal.

That’s the way it is for a small guy, located in the sticksbut that’s also the way I like it J

Cheers!

Now who wants to donate their bike? Heh, Heh, Heh :D
