@Evil Mitch
Just FYI - I have recently done over 5,000 miles (8100 km) on my 444s with Progressive front springs and I am VERY satisfied with the huge improvement. Unless you are going out on a race track, save a bunch of money on those cartridges. I figured the front springs were so cheap, I'd try them and ditch if not up to par. So far I be staying with what I have.

Thanks mate . Definitely looking forward to bolting there 444s up

Just my experience here Bat . I installed Racetech gold valves and springs into a 2007 Dyna . The gold valves can be a pain in the ass as they need a fair bit of setting up , which requires they be removed from the fork leg and adjusted. Given the opportunity again I'd just have replaced the springs , likes been said. Know that Ponters bike with the Ohlins cartridge and springs is the bees knees .. but no idea what's involved in dialling that in to suit rider and riding style.

It would be nice to have some rebound and compression damping adjust ability. I often find that my Rocket can get a little unsettled in a high speed corner if I encounter broken pavement. With the stock suspension the wheels can not compress fast enough and it causes the rear wheel to loose contact with the road or to unload too much weight off the rear tires.....makes the back of the bike step out a bit more than I like!
