I hope this is the year they do it. IIRC this will be the 3rd attempt by them. I am seriously thinking if going down there and watching. The owner of my local dealership said she would get me onto the salt for the record attempts, or at least when they should be happening. A few of us from work are contemplating going together, 2 Rockets, a GoldWing and a guy on a Sportster. I am thinking of having my wife drive down dragging a trailer so we can put the Sportster in it because I know it will happen!!!

They have been destroked. Even destroked they are still putting out 1000hp. The Castrol Rocket was at our local bike show earlier this year, it is a pretty impressive piece of machinery.
