Living Legend
I hope you don't mind me hijacking your thread Dave but I thought I'd post one of those "Do I have a great wife, or what?" comments.
While having dinner with my old high school friend the night before we departed for BC at ODark:30 Thursday morning, I mentioned to my friend that I'll probably have to sell my Rocket because I can barely get it out of my shop and turn it around on the crushed rock drive without lots of knee pain and near dropping the bike events.
My wife of 47 years gave me one of those "What are you talking about looks?" and expressed shock that I could seriously be thinking of selling my beautiful blue Rocket 3 Touring after only three months. She loves it. She told me that I need to fix the problem and not sell the bike.Really?
She asked what I could do and I told her that I could probably get a guy in with a grader to smooth out the swails in the rock, extend the crushed rock to the street, grade it all flat and have it compacted like concrete. She said to let's do that and don't talk anymore about selling bikes.
She can't ride with me anymore because of her illness but loves that I still can. After breakfast this morning I told her that I really do need a lighter bike for around town but with two touring bikes and a dual sport sidecar rig don't think I should be buying another. She just laughed and reminded me that I've had up to seven bikes at a time over the years. I never knew she was counting. What a great gal.
You'll meet her during our visit Dave.
