Whitewall tires for the R3T?

Thanks, yeah I found the thread a while back and the pics really sold me. I'm just glad I can get actual whitewall radials now, special order or no.

The Avon Cobras seem to have less white than your paint though, and I think that works even better.

Great find! And Avon recommends the Cobra blackwall tires for the Rocket Touring. I've writeen to Avon asking for confirmation that Cobra WW are equally appropriate.

Although it was virtually self-evident that the new Cobra whitewalls are a sound fit for the R3T, I wrote to Avon for that confirmation. Today Avon replied and stated that the new Cobra Wide White Wall tire "will work on your Triumph" in AV71-150/80R16-71V and AV72-180/70R16-77H.

Good news, thanks! Already waiting for a set now, but great to have confirmation the Cobras will work even in wide whitewall.

In the continuing saga of "will cr0ft get his whitewalls" we have info from Avon / Cooper Tires that the Avon Cobra WWW are now released by Triumph for sale to consumers, but that nothing is available due to Triumph being busy building Thunderbird LT's... inconsiderate of them, I think! April/May might see these become available to consumers. I guess I'll wait...

Holy crap! Where did you find them? Can you pass on the info? I've had no luck yet, they were only recently released by Triumph for sale.

Maaan, that looks fantastic, congratulations. I want a set so bad. The front especially totally changes the look, the wheel looks much too "chunky" with the normal 150 black wall, the white wall makes the whole wheel look bigger and brighter.

That is old school awesome! My front whitewall bridgestone should be at my door when I get home. I decided to see what the old gal would look like with a front whitewall only since I lowered the rear of the bike and you can barely see the rear tire anyhow. Maybe theyll start making a 200 whitewall for the rear. You just lit a fire under me to get that front mounted up. Great choice, my friend!
