While waiting for a tire installation...

Well, I used to say that, until someone who knows, really knows, explained that the bald tire has more traction. And from where @Tbirdgirl hails, my guess is she has it all under control, and while y'all mean well, it's her bike and wallet.

Anyway, good story, and I know there are more from where that came - hint hint.
 
The only way that tyre would have grip is if it was running 10lb of air and going in a straight line!!!...how you didn't come to grief is beyond me....
 
I doubt any comments were made towards her bike, or wallet. It's out of concern for her safety. We hate to see anyone go down, especially a friend.
 
Wow what the law regarding minimum tread depth wear ( see what I did there ) you are

If I got caught with that in the UK they would take the bike away until its fixed and I would get prosecuted a big fine and points on my licence

what would happen if you got caught out in the rain with that tyre ?? be like riding on oil
