Which Synthetic Oil

Yeah Hooter mine was the same and the little castrol sticker has been put on with such aggressive adhesive I'm nervous about damaging the paint getting it off.
Anyway .... my dealer saved himself some money by putting in cheap oil. But in truth I didn't mind, as there is a theory that for the first few thousand miles you should use a mineral or semi synth oil. I've done 5,500 miles now and am about to change it for the Castrol Power Racing 1

Thanks for all the input. I had Amsoil leftover and went with that. The "clicking" is much louder now. I will run this for awhile and then go the the Mobil or Rotella.

Maybe because they are smaller (rural) Walmarts? I've seen it but never in the right viscosity, if I remember? I just picked up a couple of gallons of Mobil1 15-50.

The dreaded oil thread! Over and over I have seen this thread in Boss Hoss forums and other engine related sites. No one, ever, has reported an oil related failure using any commercial brand name oil...NEVER!
Our preferences are so much emotional and non-scientifific bull****. Why is it we think we are better than the factory engineers and have the hubris to think we know better? I just don't get it!
Modern synthetic oils are amazing and up to much more than we can stress them. The Triumph manual says 10,0000 miles between changes with Mobil MX4T (Racing 4T). Just why would they say that if not adequate?
Carpenter put Joe Gibbs Premium synthetic oil in after my build..as though Joe himself made the oil. I somehow do not believe "Joe" has a refinery and must be using one of the ten or so major producers to put his name on. Come on!...Use whatever your heart says but there is absolutely NO evidence that one is superior to another.
