There is no doubt the price is right on the tuneecu. However, the tuneecu still requires a dyno to tweak a/f settings and that is typically $175-250 per tuning run. If your modus operandi is to do a few mods, utilize tuneecu to get the tune close then dyno to dial it in, then run that setup in relatively steady atmospheric conditions, it clearly makes monetary sense. But, if you have a tendency to ride in wide ranging atmospheric conditions and have a mod mentality going forward then the PCV with autotune makes more fiscal sense. I prefer the flexibility of PCV w/autotune because I can change many variables and still have the peace of mind that the a/f is adjusting on the fly without "another" dyno. I am less concerned with the actual hp/tq numbers than I am with knowing that I am getting the max hp/tq for the setup that I am running.
