Which part number to order

2005 ROCKET 3
Buying parts for cam chain and guide replacement . 23 mm drop on tensioner Want to make sure I’m buying the right parts . 2005 rocket 3 . Looking to buy the guides and chain . My problem is there’s two options listed . There’s an 114 dollar cam chain then there’s a cam chain sprocket kit for 80 and change . Which one do I purchase ? The one that comes with the sprockets or just the no.6 on the oem 114 dollar chain without sprockets ?

I am in the same boat
Was wondering if u could give it a measurement after u install new parts to see what the gain is.
 
Seems to me that buying the chain and sprockets as a set saves you a few quid, rather than buying them individually.
Have you checked your sprockets teeth for wear vs the manual spec?
If they are ok, then only the chain needs to be replaced.

Also seems like the guides can be bought as a set, which saves like 1 quid.

But overall there seems to be only 1 chain version, 1 tensioning guide version, 1 fixed guide, etc. Not like you can buy the wrong part.

But the pricing sounds back to front, have you got a link to the page you're looking at?
 
Get the latest version as they updated cam chain and sprockets used for a huge number of Triumph models for many years

I was on bike bandit here’s what I’m looking at number 3. And number 6 this is on an 05 . One says camchain and sprockets kit and one is just the chain . The kit is 80 and chain is 116 dollars . I saw the kit the other guy sent t1143210 but why is it so much more . Is it maybe that t114127 is only the sprockets and not a camchain like it says?, but like it was said if the rockets were pretty much the same I really can’t buy a wrong one can I ?

Looks like BikeBandit got their stuff all mixed up. They have #3 as T1141127 only, named the chain & sprocket kit, for $82. This should be one sprocket only (hence the price).
They don't list the sprockets on their own. #6 is out of sequence way down the bottom of the list. And they don't have individual guides listed...
No wonder you're not sure what part to order!


#3 & #6 T1143210 is the chain & sprockets kit for about €161 (WOT) or €151 (Fowler's)
#3 T1141127 is the cam sprocket only for about €68 (WOT)
#6 T1143200 is the chain only for about €95 (WOT) or €89 (Fowler's)
#8 T1142055 is the static chain guide/blade for about €37 (WOT)
#9 T1142048 is the tensioning chain guide/blade for about €82 (WOT)
#8 & #9 T1142049 is the blade kit, I.e. both blades, for about €118 (WOT)

If your sprockets are still good, and you only need a chain and the 2 guides/blades, T1143200 and T1142049 is what you are looking for ime.

Oh yes please measure your chain length as per manual when you have it out.
