I agree with HansO about the Harley.
Nice motors - some are good looking; BUT ( a very large but) they just don't give me enough performance.
Since I can't physically conform to a sport bike anymore, the Roadster is the best I have found so far that I can ride all day.
Sure wish I could fit on a B-King all day.

Since birth, I have kept my two kids off motorcycles. The first big word they learned was hypocrite.
At 35 years my son finally disobeyed me and has been riding for 8 years since.
I love it when my son goes on trips with me - even if he rides a Goldwing. which I prefer over a sport bike for him - See? Still a HYPOCRITE yet today after all these years.
You are on the money regarding, "There was a time!". Those WERE the days! Will we ever grow up? I sure hope NOT!

Thanks Steve, he is quite the young man. We rode together until he moved to Denver and now it seems being a man with a young family, his priorities have straightened out.
I always told him if he couldn't keep that front wheel of the B King on the ground I was going to buy him a Unicycle with a Busa engine!
He seems to do a much better job now at least when I am within viewing distance.

I purchased my R3R and less than 2 weeks later - Dad went and purchased his first new bike - a Thunderbird in Red Marble Haze. My Rocket gets ALL of the attention anywhere I go - UNTIL Dad pulls up on his Thunderbird. The paint brings them over, the missing rear cylinder keeps them there. It's true... Don't know if a more "standard" painted t-bird would get the same attention but the Red Marble Haze is AWESOME.

Just to remain on topic:
I don't hate Harleys.
Now, with that out of the way . . .
When the young family man has to sell the B-King let me know - I could do maybe 50 to 100 miles on one.
