Wheel and Tyre Alignment

It's funny that Richard should mention this as I have seen a mate that regularly ride with a definate seating pos to the right on longer rides to counter act the camber causing you to counter steer there fore it reduces his fatique, I recently tried it my self on a long stretch of straight road down in Victoria and it works well the other thing is that his front tends to wear more evenly so there is a lot of truth in what you are saying plus you can go over a bit more to reduce fatique.

Another thing to consider is the right side has traveled more distance than the left.

Riding on the left....each left corner is the inside radius of the road....shorter.

Each right corner is the outside radius of the road...longer.

Over the life-span of the tire...it adds up.

As above folks, the front tyre will wear on the left side if in your country you ride on the right side of the road, & of course will wear on the right side if like me you ride on the left. As Ogremeister says quite rightly the outside of every bend in the road is significantly greater than the inside, therefore after 5000 miles of travel one side of the tyre will travel a lot father than the other. There is an explanation of this somewhere on the internet,I looked it up when I found the same thing, can't remember where it is but Mr. Google will find it for anyone who is interested.
