What RPM's do you ride at usually?

Depends on how fast I'm going and what gear I'm in. If I'm having a crack in the mountains I never look at the tacho or speedo, you'll crash if you don't look where your going. Have hit the rev limiter now and then coming out of a corner but that's just a result of how quickly the Rocket accelerates in the bottom 2 gears.

same here but rarely hit rev limiter since installing a 7500rpm rev limit tune

Fred offered to bump mine up but I figure if the torque drops off at 5500 there's not much need to go past that. Fred told me he bumped my speed limiter up to 250. I just said good onya I'm not going to need that I never reached it when it was 190 odd. Most times I hit the limiter I'm in 1st gear, that's because it gets there so quick. Will get Julie onto that email later she has a visitor having coffee at the moment.

I'd like a good and cheap tach for my R3T.

Never had much use for a tach on my bikes or cars just rode them by ear and feel ,different if I was on a screaming sports bike or car where you could over rev the engine. different with Trucks where you have to keep the engine in the power range and change up or down to match the engines torque range to gear and road speed, I just ride my rocket using the seat of the pants method ,always works for me.

I find I spend most of my time between 2,500 - 3,000 RPM. 3,000 on my bike is ~80 mph - which is cruising speed here in South Florida.
