I must say the yellow on your tank doesn’t look quite right. Scorched Yellow had more of a gold look, which is why I alluded to a respray. I think you’re right that it was metalic but can’t recall exactly. Same colour was used on early Daytona 675 and Speed Triple so logic suggests metallic. Maybe repair/custom paint shop could help you match it.
Yep, those pics confirm it and they are definitely a metallic finish and mine is 'flat' (base coat and lacquer) so it looks like I will have to get it matched as you suggest.
Ta very much for the help
There are a few Triumph Yellows, and I recently sold a NOS Scorched Yellow Rocket III flyscreen that was going to be Phantom Blacked. by new owner.

Above: Racing Yellow was used for the Rocket 111 2005 Custom Gold Flame version too.

Once you include all of the two tone Classic versions missing from this old thread there must be at least 20 Triumph factory Rocket IIII paint versions.
So @RazMan , what colour did you figure these would be, same as your tank or different?
The early Rocket III 2005/2006 factory Yellow was Racing Yellow with Gold Flames decals.
