What is the difference in the Model years

Good thread glad it is still here as I was getting confused to what my bike is.... have now figured it is a standard R3 not a classic or anything else and that I have the fastest one because it is black. Always knew black was faster because once you go black you don't go back!

Could someone that knows please give me a quick summary of how the model years have evolved since 2005 to the new 2012 model Rocket Roadster.

I am thinking about getting a new 2012 instead of a used one and it would be helpful to know the changes and upgrades over the years.

Was there major changes for 12' or was there another year where big changes were made that are worth noting?
