What grade full Synthetic Oil? Amsoil 10W40 vs 20W50

Manual calls for either 10W40 or 15W50.
And how many quarts does it take for an oil change?
I would like to get answers based on the actual experience of some of the board members.

You been for a ride yet .. or you still fiddling around unscrewing things and looking for problems and oil leaks ..hahahaha .. only joking mate , glad you're getting to know your bike
 
Mobil 1 20W-50 Full Synthetic Motorcycle Oil
Under $10 at Wally World.
 
If you are riding in cold temps then use the 10/40, if you are in warmer climate then use the 15/50.

Who has 15w-50 full syn earl?
Being from the NW, I am usually heading for hot sun on my rides, hense the 20w-50.
Besides, the oil viscosity goes way down after it is warmed up, so I go with the heavier grade.
 
We have run nothing but 10W-40 both our Rockets. Mobil 1 and then Castrol. Both work good.

Six quarts, but put in five and start the motor before adding the sixth or you will overflow the side tank. Don't ask us how we know...

We trudge on.
