Two were uncles and several others were like uncles as I grew up with them at the shop and house on Saturdays and Sundays.

July 1963 tough looking huh? I have mellowed out in 55 years. 5 years old at my grandparents farm that bike lasted many years although the tires were bent frame was welded many times

Gotta LOVE that ATTITUDE !!!
 
I was told it goes with the hat everytime I put the hat on the :attitude :would show up hell I was only 5


I remember 1963. It was a good year. I was a senior in high school riding my 1956 AJS 600cc Typhoon scrambler. Headlights and signals were not requirements back then; but, brake lights were. There was no generator on the bike so I would knock off a flashing construction road sign and steal the large 6 volt battery to run my brake lights. :eek:

Not many up here in WA wore rebel hats. Its interesting how many riders start out on trikes and eventually return to trikes. :confused:
